CATALONIA IN SPAIN
Catalonia has a very marked culture of its own, most evidently of Mediterranean tradition, and is distinguished of most other Spanish regions in several aspects, not at least by its language, Catalonian (although everybody speaks and understands Castilian Spanish perfectly). Certainly it is one of the most cosmopolitan places in Spain, thanks to its long tradition of international commerce.
VILASSAR DE MAR IN CATALONIA
Vilassar de Mar has a population of
It is traditionally a fishing village.
Vilasar de Mar is also known for its market of the Flower and Ornamental Plant, and rose plantations.
The name of our school is INS Pere Ribot. It is about 30 km North of Barcelona, in a town called Vilassar de Mar. It's a coastal town touching the Mediterranean Coast. The beach is less than a 10 minute walk from our school.
We speak Catalan and Spanish in this area. At our school we learn English as a Foreign Language. We don't get a lot of opportunities to practise English so we hope that this
project will give us the chance to practise more and to share many stories with all of you!
Here are our final digital story projects divided up into the three English classes. Let us know what you think! Put any comments on the public comments page.
